I’m Eric. I’m from the greatest state in the United States of America, THE one and only “Live Free for Die” state- New Hampshire! I’ve been homeschooled my entire life. This, of course, does not mean that I have had any lack of opportunity to branch out- it’s quite the opposite! I’m the second oldest of seven siblings and have no shortage of opportunity to cook for them. My interests are widespread; I am just as big into sports as I am into cooking, and have been writing about professional sports since before high school. I’m an intense Patriots fan, Celtics fan, and Red Sox fan (as difficult as that is). I also enjoy professional swimming, tennis, hockey, and some more obsolete sports, such as volleyball and arena football. I’m not much of a gamer but one game I could play all day is Madden. I am also an animal guy; I LOVE animals! Particularly exotic animals. Zoos are one of my favorite places in the world. In the past, I have owned turtles and snakes as pets, and right now I personally own two pets. My sugar gliders are named Madelynn and Tiberius. They come with me everywhere, and they are great companions as well as fellow foodies!
I have competed in public debate in the NCFCA. I reached the National Championship in Birmingham, Alabama in 2008, placing 61st in the nation with my debate partner Aaron Reale. I have been a campaign manager twice for a City Council candidate in the city of Methuen, Massachussetts. I’ve been a volunteer teacher for 4th and 5th grade public speaking twice at a homeschool co-op, I’ve owned my own mobile auto detailing business, I’ve been a camp counselor, I’ve played competitive baseball (pitcher, third baseman) and basketball (point guard, two guard), I’m extremely involved with the activities at my church, I love a discussion about politics (in the appropriate setting), I’ve worked at an amusement park as a games attendant and at Mens Wearhouse store as a fashion consultant, and currently I work at a local financial institution as a member service representative. I also run my own independent business with Arbonne International. I am taking classes online and through CLEP testing to earn a BSBA in Business Entrepreneurship.
Whew. That was a lot of random fun facts and rambling, most of which had nothing to do with food. But now that you know your author, you have a wider scope of perspective through which to absorb and appreciate the information in this blog. Enjoy! 🙂
